Plot[]
Outside the village, in the old ruined house, Steve shows the shot gun he's stolen from Joe's cottage to Pip, who's been waiting for him. It frightens her and she is afraid of what they are about to do. But Steve reassures her and starts to cut down the barrels of the gun. They change their clothes so that no one will recognise them and Steve has sawn down the shot gun. They set off on their foray to the Woolpack, where Amos and Henry Wilks are held hostage.
